Saby in car no. 224 finished 6th overall, and the “Queen of the Desert” J. Kleinschmidt, the only ever female winner of the Rally, took out 1st place in stage 16, and secured 4 other top-5 stage finishes to climb from 123rd place to finish 17th overall. The Touareg rally version features large air-intakes on the roof and bonnet, and cleaning fan in the cockpit, an indispensable fitting for desert running.
